Lens Arthur Obituary, Hyde Park – It is with deep sorrow that the family of Lens Arthur Joseph, age 5, announces his tragic and untimely passing on Monday, April 28, 2025, after being struck by a school bus on Washington Street in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston.

Lens was walking home from his kindergarten class at UP Academy Charter School, a routine part of his young life that turned devastatingly fatal when he was dropped off at a different location than usual. In his attempt to cross the street, he was fatally hit by the same school bus that had just let him off. He was rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive.

The loss has left his family shattered. His great aunt, Remercie Edmond, shared through tears, โ€œHeโ€™s a happy boy. Very smart, very intelligent. He made everybody happy. And heโ€™s going to be missed.โ€
